The Jardiance Brand

A collaborative brand from Lilly and Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). Jardiance needed a plethora of medical educational materials. I created brochures, evaluations, banner ads, booklets, pamphlets and product theater materials including invitations, posters and banners. Each piece needed to follow both the brand guidelines and our clients’ strict preferences, and I pushed the design comfort zone every chance I could. This created a body of work that was cohesive and not monotonous.

Special Requests from the Client

Our clients regularly made updates to existing project types. This kept me nimble and ready for most requests to evolve. One example was our Participant Guide for conferences, seen below. During the pandemic, not all participants would get a printed guide book for the conference presentation. We created a digital version which needed to have live links to on images creating multiple decks and guides for the same content. Another request was to make designs editable, such as the invitation to the right. Representatives wanted to put their own information in certain pieces meaning I need to develop designs around unknown quantities and lengths of information for whichever program they were most comfortable.

Unbranded Projects

The Continuum of Heart Failure Conference

The team also held unbranded conferences. The design for the Heart Failure Conference has an energetic heart pumping aesthetic similar to Formula 1 and certain car branding styles utilizing diagonal shapes as both texture and holding shapes for information.

Unbranded Jardiance Projects

BI and Lilly also needed regular unbranded materials at conferences and advertisements. Their existing pieces needed to be updated as regulatory believed the unbranded and branded work was too close in style. I helped tweak the unbranded pieces to push further from the Jardiance branding by updating typography, spacing and color palette.

Interconnectivity of Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Systems Projects

The clients also wanted a separate unbranded campaign style for the interconnected systems. I created this new branding as well as all the print and digital projects. This arm of Jardiance had their own presentations as well which I worked closely with the team to animate.
